An Attack on Our Families and Our Freedoms – On the Maryland Ballot Fall 2024
The Maryland “Reproductive Freedom” Amendment is a dangerous and deceptive measure that threatens to undermine the health and safety of women, strip away parental rights, and remove essential freedoms from Maryland citizens. Though marketed as an expansion of reproductive rights, this amendment goes far beyond safeguarding women’s health—it opens the door to unrestricted abortion access, even in the late stages of pregnancy, without adequate protections for women’s well-being.
This amendment seeks to:
1. Create a State Constitutional Right to Late-Term Abortion through Birth
2. Prohibit Laws to Safeguard Women’s Health and Safety
3. Threaten Parental Rights to Make Medical Decisions for Our Children
4. Restrict Free Speech and Religious Exemptions
5. Threaten Existence of Pregnancy Resource Centers
6. Force Taxpayers and Insurance Companies to Fully Fund Elective Abortions
