We need your help!

We are always recruiting enthusiastic volunteers to join us at fairs, conventions, rallies, marches, fundraisers, and other community events throughout the year. We need your help to educate and engage Marylanders of all ages and backgrounds. If you are a hard worker and a team player willing to donate some of your time, we would love for you to volunteer with Maryland Right to Life!

Student Activities

Internships

Internships at Maryland Right to Life provide high school graduates the opportunity to gain firsthand experience in the pro-life movement on the state level. We tailor our internship program to meet the academic and educational goals of each student.

To inquire about an internship or earning student service hours for volunteering, please send us an email.

Areas of concentration typically include Journalism, English, Communications, Political Science, Philosophy, Theology, Social Work, Life Sciences, and others. Internships run from 8 to 10 weeks in either the fall or spring semesters or during the summer months. Each season offers unique learning opportunities!

Summer: Interns have the opportunity to attend the National Right to Life Conference. They may also attend seminars at the National Right to Life office featuring distinguished pro-life leaders and participate in networking events in Washington, DC. Additionally, Maryland Right to Life summer interns may assist with some of our largest outreach efforts of the year- our educational booths at the Maryland State Fair and county fairs across the state.

Fall: Interns are called upon to assist with organization and clerical tasks. In presidential or midterm election years (2026), fall interns get a front row seat to Maryland Right to Life’s political efforts. They also have the opportunity to attend the annual Maryland Right to Life Banquet, one of our most important fundraisers of the year.

Winter/Spring: Interns have the opportunity to be directly involved in the legislative process at the Maryland General Assembly. Interns will also be involved with the planning and logistics of the Maryland Right to Life Convention (Saturday, May 16, 2026).

Maryland Right to Life chapters are making a difference

One of the greatest strengths of Maryland Right to Life can be found in our grassroots network of county chapters.

Operating in the communities in which they live, our chapters play a vital role in extending the reach of the organization down to the local level. The work they do is touching lives and helping to build a culture of life.

Maryland Right to Life chapters educate the public, coordinate county fair booths, hold special events, host pro-life speakers, attend marches and lobby days, put up billboards, circulate petitions, organize diaper drives, volunteer with pregnancy help centers, write letters to the editor, mentor pro-life students, contact elected officials, and so much more!

If there is no active chapter in your county, we encourage you to start one! We would be happy to help you start the process and begin organizing your group. Email us: info@mdrtl.org.

Maryland Right to Life is a state affiliate of the National Right to Life Committee: nrlc.org
